In September 2022 I visited Gwrych castle in Wales where I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here was filmed during the years they had to film in the U.K. due to the pandemic. It was filmed in the castle for two years and a few elements from the show has remained in the castle for fans to see. It was so interesting to walk around the castle to see where the camp mates were staying during the time on the show as well as where the challenges were filmed.
I really enjoyed the experience of walking around the castle, it was so interesting to see around the area and to see how open the castle was, it must have been so cold for the camp mates!
There was so much to see and it was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. There were different signs to follow to show where to take photos of different areas and views. At the end of the walk through the castle there was a gift shop with souvenirs and a place to take photos with I'm a celeb backgrounds.
Dog were also allowed into the castle, which was so fun as I took my dog on the tour with us which was so fun, she enjoyed it too!
The view from the castle is of the sea which is so stunning.
They had props from the show, like the privy, the telephone box, and The Clink.
Artworks
I love creating art for places I travel so I created 2 small artworks before visiting the castle to take photos there. I really enjoyed seeing around the castle and the gardens, it was so stunning and it was interesting to see where I'm a celeb was filmed after seeing it on TV.
