Being featured in the O2 Alive magazine

Writer: Danielle Powell Danielle Powell

As well as art, photography is something that I enjoy doing, by taking photos of events and of places I travel to. I am always taking photos wherever I go as well as creating videos, to capture a memory. I share a lot of them on my Instagram photography page @capturethis._ and in 2019, I was contacted on Instagram, by O2, asking if they could feature one of my photographs in their O2 Alive magazine, which was a real great opportunity! The image they featured was a photograph I took of Kara Marni, at Leeds O2 Academy during Rita Ora's tour in 2018. The photo I took at this event was just taken on my phone but as the concert was in a Academy I was pretty close to the stage.

The photo was featured on a page with other concert photography from different O2 Academy's. The magazine launched in November 2019 and was available in the O2 stores.

It was amazing to see that one of my image was featured in a magazine and to see it in print! I love attending concerts and my current job is actually working concerts and other events to in the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

About Us

An overview of my work

I am a seascape artist from the U.K., creating acrylic paintings inspired by the ocean on canvas. I love the calmness of listening to the sea which reflects within my paintings. I capture the movements of the sea by taking photographs on beach walks and use the photos as reference. My work is on different scales, and I create hand painted products of my artwork on multiple items to sell on Etsy, Agift4theseasons.
