During July 2022, I went to stay with my best friend in Scotland, who lives in Glasgow and we had a lot of day trips planned. I stayed in Scotland for the first time in summer 2019 and saw many places, so this time we visited some new places I had not been to. On the day I arrived to Glasgow we just relaxed and went out for food before our busy plans ahead.

Balmaha

The first day we took a trip to Balmaha and walked up conic hill. The views were so stunning and definitely worth the walk up. We spent a while sitting at the top of each hill looking at the views before making the way back down.

After the walk up conic hill we took a boat trip, the journey was so relaxing and the views were so stunning. The boat destination took us to the most beautiful little village called Luss.

Afterwards we walked around areas of Loch Lomond before heading back to Glasgow, which was really lovely!

Isle of Arran

The second day we went to Isle of Arran and to get to the location we had to take two trains, a ferry and another bus. The walk was a lot more challenging this day as it was more rocks to walk through, steps and a longer walk but the end result was very rewarding. The day we did the walk was very cloudy, so when we were at the top we had to wait for the clouds to slowly clear. Half way walking back it started raining which was a real challenge but it was still really enjoyable. We had a walk around a short beach on the way back to the ferry, instead of getting the bus. By the time we reached the ferry terminal our legs were so tired, we did so many steps this day.

Edinburgh

On the third day of the trip we went to Edinburgh, which was the second time I visited. I love Edinburgh so much and there is a lot to see too. We saw Scott Monument which was next to the station then saw Edinburgh castle from the distance. From there we went to Dean Village which is such a beautiful area, it reminds me of something from a fairytale. Afterwards we went close up to Edinburgh castle and then to the Royal Mile and before heading back to Glasgow we visited the botanic gardens.

Glasgow

On the final day of the trip we went around parts of Glasgow and visited Glasgow Botanic gardens. The weather was rainy this day but my train was in the afternoon so it did not effect much of our plans.

About Us

An overview of my work

I am a seascape artist from the U.K., creating acrylic paintings inspired by the ocean on canvas. I love the calmness of listening to the sea which reflects within my paintings. I capture the movements of the sea by taking photographs on beach walks and use the photos as reference. My work is on different scales, and I create hand painted products of my artwork on multiple items to sell on Etsy, Agift4theseasons.
